L’Italian Telegraphy Club non è morto. Vito Vetrano IN3VST era l'ultimo dei soci fondatori del Club nato nel 1975. In  più di quarant’anni di attività Vito aveva annoverato nel Club più di mille membri, tra onorari, effettivi e accademici da tutto il mondo. Maresciallo della Brigata Alpina Orobica, Vito Vetrano ha sempre fatto della sua professione nel campo delle telecomunicazioni anche la sua passione e il suo hobby. Attivissimo nel volontariato è stato il primo ad organizzare a Merano, già negli anni 80, la mostra delle telecomunicazioni ed aprire le porte della Caserma Battisti coinvolgendo sia i militari che la Rai e molti operatori ed aziende del settore. Presidente dei radiotelegrafisti italiani, ha organizzato decine di iniziative rivolte ai giovani, ma anche corsi, gare e attività scoutistiche in qualità infaticabile Master degli adulti scout del Masci. Il sottoscritto si occupava del sito come webmaster. Vito era  il Rappresentante Italiano del Gruppo di Lavoro HST presso la IARU e gli facevo da traduttore delle email che riceveva dal gruppo, in pratica il suo segretario.

The Italian Telegraphy Club is not dead. Vito Vetrano IN3VST was the last of the founding members of the Club born in 1975. In more than forty years of activity Vito had counted more than a thousand members in the Club, including honorary, permanent and academic members, fromall over the world. Marshal of the Orobica Alpine Brigade, Vito Vetrano has always made his profession in the field of telecommunications also his passion and hobby. Very active in volunteering, he was the first to organize the telecommunications exhibition in Merano, already in the 80s, and open the doors of the Caserma Battisti involving both the Military and Rai (Radiotelevisione Italiana) and many operators and companies in the sector. President of the Italian Radiotelegraphers, he organized dozens of initiatives aimed at young people, but also courses, competitions and scouting activities as an indefatigable Master of Masci's adult scouts. The undersigned took care of the website as webmaster. Vito was the Italian Representative of the HST Working Group at IARU and I acted as translator of the emails he received from the group, basically his secretary.

Ci incontravamo sempre alla Fiera di Montichiari e a quella di Friedrichshafen. Una volta sono stato invitato anche a quella di Pescara, che lui faceva tutti gli anni  seguito dal suo commilitone  Gioacchino  che gli faceva da autista.

We always met at Montichiari and Friedrichshafen Fairs. Once I was also invited to the Pescara Fair, which he did every year followed by his fellow Marshall Gioacchino who acted as his driver.

Ogni tanto assieme a Piero Begali I2RTF andavamo a Merano per discutere sul da fare per il Club. Per non far morire il Club dopo la sua scomparsa, mi sono sentito in dovere di farmene carico. Purtroppo non ho potuto recuperare dai famigliari niente di quello che distribuiva e quindi sono partito ex novo. Vito richiedeva un piccolo contributo una tantum, con il quale spediva ai membri l’attestato e altri gadget. Adesso chiunque farà richiesta di far parte del Club, basta mi invii una richiesta via email e in regola con le condizioni per l’adesione riceverà l’attestato in formato pdf gratuitamente, che si potrà stampare. Dal sito www.italiantelegraphyclub.net ho dovuto cancellare tutti i vecchi aderenti per la privacy, in quanto non ero in in possesso di nessuna documentazione. Comunque ho sempre la lista di tutti i vecchi nominativi e invierò prontamente il nuovo attestato a chi ne farà richiesta e figura nella lista. Così lo inserirò nuovamente nella pagina dei membri del Club ITC con la nuova numerazione. I membri del club, vecchi e nuovi,  sono arrivati ad oggi febbraio 2022 a cento membri  a due anni dalla cancellazione dal sito ITC. Inoltre la pagina che ho creato su Facebook dell’ITC ha più  di milleseicento followers in tutto il mondo e altrettanti mi piace. L’interazioni con i lettori per le mie pubblicazioni arrivano quasi a ventimila ogni mese. Sul sito del Club pubblico un  bollettino semestrale di tutte le attività che metto in campo e altro. Normalmente apro uno stand alla  Fiera di Montichiari e Friedrichshafen che quest’anno sono saltate per ovvi motivi. Spero di fare il terzo Memorial Vito Vetrano IN3VST HST l’anno prossimo a Montichiari. Mi è giunta notizia che la Fiera di Friedrichshafen si terrà dal 24 al 26 giugno. Se le condizioni lo potranno, aprirò lo stand.

Vito Vetrano IN3VST rimarrà per sempre il Presidente del club, il sottoscritto in qualità di manager nomina Piero Begali Presidente Onorario.

Totogether with Piero Begali I2RTF we met Vito in Merano to discuss what to do for the Club. In order not to let the Club die, after his death, I felt to take it upon myself. Unfortunately, I was unable to recover from the family anything of what he distributed and so I started from scratch. Vito requested a small one-off contribution, with which he sent the certificate and other gadgets to the members. Now anyone who want to join the Club for free, just send me a request via email, in compliance with the conditions for membership, will receive the certificate in pdf format, which can be printed. From the website www.italiantelegraphyclub.net I had to cancel all the members for the privacy, as I was not in possession of any documentation. However, I always have the list of all the old callsign and I will promptly send the new certificate to those who request it and appear on that list. So I'll put it back on the ITC Club members page with the new numbering. The club old and new, have reached hundred members, it is two years I have deleted from the ITC site. In addition, the page I created on ITC's Facebook has almost a sixteenthausand followers around the world and just as many likes. Interactions with readers for my publications reach almost twentythousand people every month. On the Club's website I publish a semi-annual bulletin of all the activities I can do and more. Normally I open a stand at the Montichiari and Friedrichshafen Fairs which last year failed for obvious reasons. I hope to do the third Vito Vetrano IN3VST HST Memorial this year in Montichiari. I reached informations from MESSE FRIEDRICHSHAFEN GmbH, if there will be the conditions, i will be there with the stand from 24th to 26th of June.

Vito Vetyano IN3VST will forever remain the President of the Club and the undersigned as Manager has appointed Piero Begali I2RTF Honorary President of the Club.
